Yes, we did, but that was three days ago.

Tiger looked like he had been sprinkled with powdered sugar:

The stream by the stable had started to create ice art:

Aaand yesterday we were the warmest place in the country with a whooping 16,5°C or 61°F. No more artwork in the river until Monday when the forecast predicts freezing temps for the next two weeks. No snow I'm afraid so I fear for my plants. Ah, well. Whatever comes, comes. There's nothing I can do about it.

We finally got winter here in Ontario this week too! It looks like its going to stick around though, and there is nothing I can do about it! Enjoy your 16°C Droopy, I'm sure winter will be back for you soon.

Droopy, judging from Tiger's coat, I doubt he felt even the slightest snow chill--that is a lovely cat! Your photo of the stream's ice is beautiful, and very artistic. Thanks for sharing.
We are having winter also--I have to put on a jacket to go to the barn in the morning, and we have a blanket on the bed at night. Heavens, will this arctic blast never end?

No snow here at the moment but it is forecast for later tonight. I really hope it does arrive to cover all my bulbs poking through the earth. I noticed this morning that I have flowers on my laurel and some polyanthus buds are opening and the spring cyclamen are fully leaved. Even my rhubarb is showing some nice, fresh red stalks!! My poor garden seems to think spring has already sprung.

Netty, winter will be back shortly. I'm just hoping we won't have the extreme cold (for here) they threaten us with.

Thanks marlingardner. Tiger is very handsome and he knows it!

eileen, how about a nice January rhubarb soup? I love rhubarb soup.

Sjoerd, ty. At the moment we're just wet. No white stuff here.

We dress up warm and go about our business as usual. Winter has its charm too, if only we take time to think about it.

Yeah, that cat DOES look like it is sprinkled with powder sugar alright. It makes me think of our traditional New Years'' food, the oliebol. We ate some last night.
It froze here last night. A good sign for the time being. If it freezes, then it will be clear and sunny.

I thought that it was cute that Ty was sitting on Truls' box.
