Our weekend begins at about 5:40 p.m. on Friday when my husband gets home from work, sits at the kitchen island with a glass of wine and we chat while I cook. We plan the weekend, talk over his day/my day (my day here on the farm is infinitely more pleasant) and comment on the world's oddities.
    When does your weekend begin?

Our weekend starts about one minute after Randy shuts down his work computer. 3:31 Friday or 4:31 Thurs, depending on which week it is, he works from home on a compressed daily schedule so he has every other Friday off and the other Friday is shorter by one hour.

Yup our weekend begins around 5:00pm on Friday when my honey gets home. We talk about our day, and I let him know where we are going with our friends for our Friday Fish fry. Then after we fill our faces, we get all the local scoup from each other over a beer or two. We then head back home to watch a good movie, or play a game of Cribbage. WhoooHaaaa. We love those friday night Fish fries. :setf_020: Yummmmy! :stew1:

My weekend began September 18, 2009 at 2:15 and has not stopped. That was the last day at work, I took a voluntary layoff. I was 2 months from retirement and the package was much better. I have to check with Gardenstew to verify what day it is.

My weekend started on June 15th, 2001. That's when I went on medical retirement and disability. It wasn't my last day of work, it was my retirement party!

I think we don't have weekends. Since neither of us "work" we just do things when we do them. Of course, there is Sunday when we don't usually do too much of anything. I guess that may be our weekend.

Mine starts on Friday evenings as soon as I get out of the truck. Which is usually 5:30ish. I get every other Monday off work... so I get 3 day weekends then.

My weekend has't existed since I left my last 9-to-5 some eight years ago and decided to go it alone. Now there is some work to do every single day, BUT now I enjoy working :stew1: Big difference.

When we lock up house at customer's house. Jerry retired 3 years ago this May. But then started working with me. We plan on working 1 more year-but cutting some customers. Not going to be like my Grand Mother-worked FULL time until she was 93. re covered furniture . Neighbor would help flip it. Mowed lawn with push mower-corner lot. You should have seen Her Flower beds.

My husband is a long haul driver, so my weekend starts when ever he gets home. He arrived home about 5:30 pm last night and leaves tomorrow morning at 9:00 am. Very short weekends.
