Hi Please help me I figure out what I'm growing. I started all of my vegetable from seeds, then transplanted to my rigged up greenhouse. Looks like a turnip to me.. Good picture, but it might help to know what hardiness zone or region you're located in.. Welcome to the Stew..
Hi Henry, thanks for the reply. I live in centeral PA 6a or 6b I think, but this is inside of a green house. Growin fast and starting to develop stocks. try to get another picture later. Thanks
Is the leaf really pungent if you rub or crush a part of it or is it prickly with hairs (not prickly like thistles, just stiff hairs on the leaf)? If it is pungent could be arugala. I have several different varieties in the greenhouse and I like none of it. It has a very distinctive pungent flavor and smell. If it is hairy may be a radish plant.
Have a bit of an odor I wouldn't call it prugent. Leaves are smooth, stocks are fuzzy. Growing like weeds! ( photo / image / picture from shendog's Garden )
I think it is arugala. It is often sold in lettuce/spring greens seed mix. Once it goes to seed it will sprout freely in places you aren't expecting it.
