    Hi Sholt, welcome to the Stew from north Texas. Please post an intro of yourself in our Welcome to Gardenstew forum so we can get to know each other.

    As far as your 'weed'...it is hard to tell without getting a close look at the leaves and individual flowers.
    There are many flowers that have a similar look but the leaves will usually hold a better clue to the ID of a plant.

    The white fuzz looks like dandelion.

    Hi Sholt I agree that a closer shot of the seed head etc... will help immensely.

    It looks like Western Salsify (have a look at the images at the bottom of this page)

    This is just a guess however.

    That is one large weed. Sorry to say I don't know what it is called. I was reading on another post on weeds. They say vinegar works on alot of different kinds of weeds.I have a weed i'm trying this weed end with vinegar. Best of luck.
