Hello, you might have to zoom in to see it better. This moth flew into my room last night, and I'm just curious as to what it is!

Perhaps a Black-dotted Brown moth, Cissusa spadix. As the picture is small, the feature spots are hard to resolve.

Carolyn, On a PC try: Start, Programs (All Programs in XP), Accessories, Accessibility, Magnifier. If magnifier is not installed it can be installed from the windows disk. On a Mac it is 'command +'

P.S. I have not touched a PC since I retired, I know nothing of the new OS's

yeah, the image isn't very big. I tried to upload a larger one before, but the size exceeded the maximum uploading size, and I don't know how to compress it.

    Thanks for your replies!

A better possibility is the Eastern Tent Caterpillar (Malacosoma americanum), resolution of the stripe across the body precludes a positive identification, however it is now more likely than the Cissusa spadix as the spots are not visible.
