Actually it looks fine to me Boatnut. If I was forced to change something I would have the frame match the outlets.

IF IT WERE ME ...... :-D

I would make the outlet covers same color as wall to "hide" them.

But the covers match the woodwork and floor so I would leave them. The frame I might change to a color in the pic, like navy or the mat color.

I agree with Garden Frantic. I'd make the outlets the same colour as the wall.

How about painting the picture frame black?

Nah I think it would be too harsh and dark - it's fine exactly how it is. :-D

If you really want to change the frame, pick a hunter green will pick up the inner mat color and the shades on the woods in the print.

The adjoining family room has just been painted in gold. The fabrics over the opposite wall sliding door and window are hunter green.

Your suggestion may be a winner. We were also considering black for the frame.

Thanks to all..........the suggestions to paint the frame hunter green looks like a winner!

Adjoining that picture, but to the left of it (with a pantry door in between) is a collage of family photos with a gold frame. Would you suggest this frame to be painted hunter green also?

    Thanks!

Could you post a piccie of the family photographs please? We'd be able to advise you better about painting it or not if we actually saw the frame. Thanks. :-D

My better half says to leave it alone. The kitchen project is about 2 months from being finished and we will repost the question then.
