Most of our blooms have rained away, but this green beauty looks very good on the Allium:

Oh wow! Only one day into August, and all those beautiful flowers!

Buddleias are illegal here. Invasive. There are a few interspecific hybrids that can't make seeds, and are legal to grow.

Hydrangeas are so nice this time of year and at their best. Some of the hydrangea collection.

The Buddleias that started to grow on all the bomb sites in London here after WW2 are the really invasive ones and they have been a nuisance on our patch here as they seed like mad!!
The one that Zigs photographed is Black Knight - one of the species that will not seed itself. We also have a few Royal Red and a B Alternifolia.
Alternifolia is the first one to show flowers in this garden and it's habit is quite different.
[IMG] It has a weeping habit. White Profusion is lovely too.
