Just thought it might be nice to share what we've been up to , places we've been to, hobbies we've found time to enjoy etc. We tend to stick fairly local these days, although we still have a car we both don't drive anymore. Living where we do we are very fortunate to be in easy reach of a lot of the South Coast and London is only a short and easy train ride from here too. Still wrestling with post surgery healing this year we have taken things at a slightly slower, easier pace. This doesn't stop us though as we like to get out and about at least on 3 days each week. Even sticking locally doesn't stop us from discovering or seeing something new!! Share if you wish please, it will be nice to learn more about your interests or places near to where you live .
Ok I will start us off. Yesterday we decided to pop into Winchester.....about 5 miles away. It's my favourite of our local cities... full to overflowing with history. www.historic-uk.com/HistoryMagazine/DestinationsUK/Winchester-Ancient- We just sat out in one of the main parks yesterday with a picnic lunch and then walked a short walk along the river. The place was buzzing with coach loads of tourists and walking tour groups. Good old King Arthur protecting his City. River Walk.

I lived near Salisbury for a while @Oreti Worked on Clarendon Palace for many months. Apart from Gardening I've been building a saw horse in the past few days, I'll take a pic tomorrow
