Last night the temperatures got low last night. In the garden was 41.1, soil temp @ 6 inches 60, @ 18 inches 70. I would think at these temperatures the plants will go dormant for the season. Right now the soil is getting dry. Moisture readings 130 CB which in CB or centibars is dry (0=wet-200=dry).

I'm debating whether or not to water or just let the garden go to sleep for the year.
Next week is warmer so I'm confused on what to do. Need help and advice.

Sorry for the technical moisture units. That's what my soil moisture sensors read in. I use permanent moisture sensors not the usual meter.

I would water whenever the soil is getting too dry. The above ground portion of plants die back in the winter but the roots still need moisture to live. If you have plenty of rain and/or snow then nature will take care of the soil moisture but when it is dry I would still water.

Toni... if it stays this dry throughout the winter here... what frequency of watering do you suggest? Weekly? Bi-weekly?
