I just finished planting marigolds 4 o'clocks and wild flowers from seed, and while I was planting these from seed (Note: I have never planted marigolds from seed) and I opened the marigold pkt and I seen the seeds aren't anything like a normal seed, they're like small sticks! Tip of them are a tooth pick color and the rest is black! I thought that was pretty neat.

Marigolds are one of my favorite seeds for some reason... I guess because they are so different from "fat ones". :stew2:
I hope they all sprout and flower for you. It's still amazes me to see a bloom and think "and this came from that little seed?"

I like those 4 o'clock seeds. They look like tiny little barrels! My daughter always loved collecting them and saving them for the following spring. They sure do self sow too!

I like marigold and 4o' clock seeds because they are easy to collect for next year! :p

My plan this year is to plant the "Petunia Tree" with marigolds instead of petunias for something different!
