And what lovely color you have.
The color of that new Hellebore is gorgeous. I still haven't found one here but I am looking, it might almost be too late since our weather is heating up already. I might just wait and order some for fall planting.

I've been trying to track down some double hellebores here but, so far, haven't been able to find any. :( When I do I just hope they are as lovely as yours Droopy.

Looks as though spring has found you at last. Isn't it wonderful to see everything coming back to life in the garden? :-D

Thanks for liking my spring blooms! :D There's not much scent yet, I'm afraid. Only the Daphne and the few very early primroses. The hellebores and crocus are all colour and no scent.

Eileen, I'm so surprised you haven't got the double hellebores, since I know there are lots of nurseries further south of you that grow masses of them.

I hope they last for years, GG, they're so pretty.

My mother forced me to. :D

No, she didn't. But my grandparents were keen gardeners, mom is gardening like mad, and I've been visiting other people's gardens with mom since I got my driver's license. So I guess it's all come via osmosis or something. Besides that I read a lot of gardening encyclopedias in winter. Well, without any blooms outside and no snow to play in, what can one do?

I've just been to the Clyde Valley today and they still don't have any hellebores at the nurseries - let alone the double ones. They say there's not much call for them in that area so they don't bother growing them. :( Very strange. :-? I've asked my friend at the 'Flower of Scotland' nursery to see if she can get a hold of some doubles for me. Either that or I'll order some online. I've just got to have some soon as I really think they are gorgeous.

Good luck with finding them, Eileen. I know a chap near Bergen import lost of those from somewhere in England.

Lovely pics, Droopy. Thanks for the breath of spring (still snow on the ground here, but it won't be long now!).
