I have no idea why my e-mail from places, for example Better Homes and gardens comes with all these X's and no pictures. All of them are like that. Does anyone know why that happens? I most likely changed something or deleted it but for the life of me can't figure how to undo what I did. It isn't very interesting viewing e-mail from gardening places without the pictures....Thank you so much...Sherry

What email client do you use?
I use Thunderbird which blocks 'remote images' in email but it also provides as button to the upper right of the email that says 'Show Images'
There is bound to be something you can change in the email settings that will let you accept pictures.

Most of those gardening newsletters will also have a link to their website where you can read it online with the pictures.

It didn't have any where that says show images on my screen above the e-mail. I have seen it before when I have blocked certain things but not on these. I just figured I changed something...Thank you.

I have the regular AOL that was on my computer when I got it years ago. It is different from the free AOL.
