Two weeks ago or so we had a Brown Thrasher show up under our suet feeders. He was eating some sunflower seeds and whatever suet the woodpeckers dropped. But he should not be here in our area at this time of year. When our weather got so bitterly cold this pass week I really worried about him. I figured the poor bird would freeze to death. Well so far so good he is still alive. I have been putting out suet pieces for him to eat. He is also continuing to feed on the shelled sunflower seeds I put out. I am praying that he makes it to spring. Such a brave bird, or a bird brain to be in Wisconsin this time of year. Here is a picture of him.
