I get my seed potatoes at the feed store--5lbs. for $5. Red LaSodas and Kinnebec are what we plant, but Yukon Golds are available also.

It seems we will be planting a variety of gold potatoes after all. I bought a 10 lb. bag on sale at the grocery, and didn't use them up quickly. I got one out today to put into soup, and found they had all sprouted. Fortunately, we have the space to plant a couple of rows of golds, and if they do well, we can pawn extras off on the food pantry!

@mart I am trying these for the first time. Our garden center sells out quick and last year bought from Lowe's didn't do as well had better harvest from previous year from Gurney.
