my sunflowers have small yellow either worms or larvae INSIDE the leaves, like a leaf miner would be, I have been cutting all the infected leaves off the plant, but if I keep doing so there will be no more leaves, they start at the tip of the leaf & work their way up towards the plant, there are several per leaf, they are to small to photograph (I tried) they are yellow with either a black head or end, my niece (braver soul then I) squished one & a white/cream or transparent worm type creature came out of the yellow & black & was still alive. I've tried soap, & blasting with a garden hose, & as I said cutting the infected leaves off, but every morning they are back again.

any idea's what these are? & a better non-chemical way to get rid of them besides soap?
