This plant has been popping up in our garden ever since we moved here and I cannot identify it. It creeps along the ground and has pale lemon flowers similar to an antirrhinum. Anyone know what it is please :stew2:

It looks like Azorina procumbens to me. They can be a bit of a seed weede, but I rather like them.

Thanks Eric, but I have looked in my gardening books and also Googled but cannot find anything that resembles my plant. I would be interested to know where your reference to Azorina procumbens comes from. The only one I can find is A.vidalii which is a white flowering shrub and nothing like my ground creeping plant.

Procumbens is a Latin word, meaning to lie down or leaning forward as opposed the Azorina vidalii that stands up.

But I don't think it is an Azorina. Have you done a google looking for pictures of Ground Ivy? Your leaves resemble some that grow in the US.

Thanks toni. I have googled ground ivy and every photo shows purple flowers whereas mine as you can see is a very pale lemon. It certainly does however look like a ground ivy. Do you know if it comes in different colours?
