I found these little guys on my Butterfly bushes last week. Earlier this week, I saw one eatting a fly! Shocked So I let them stay. But this morning I saw a huge very colorful butterfly having her lunch at this bush. I suddenly thought of the fly and thought maybe I should find out if its a friend or foe.

sorry for the bad pics but these little guys are very camera shy and really quick.

Mmmm they look almost like the larval stage of something. If they're eating bugs I'd leave them - I don't think they'll take butterflies but may take caterpillars. Hope someone else can ID them for you.

They were "larval stage of something"!! I found this guy this morning while watering. He flew away when I took his pic!!! Crying or Very sad

His "former self" Laughing

Sorry for the blurry pics but my camera is hard to zoom in that close to something so small. Rolling Eyes

I have voted him as friend as he is now gone and didnt nothing but keep bugs off my Butterfly Bushes. I have more on my Passion Vine! Mr. Green
