A neighbor in back of where I live have thrown out some nice plants. So I have taken the liberty of picking them up. Ones mans junk, another mans treasure, as they say. I do believe it will spread so this will be alright. But variegated thyme seems to be yellow/green and mine looks to be white/green, so what do you think?

Need an I.D. ( photo / image / picture from petunia's Garden )
I do have another more up close pict. if needed.

Thymus x citriodorus 'Silver Queen' has dark green leaves edged in white.

Thymus vulgaris 'silver poise also has dark green leaves edged in white.

There is also one named Thymus ‘Hartington Silver’ but it's leaves have more of an off-white edging than real white.

Are you sure that it is Thyme?
The photo looks a lot like a Euonymus to me ~ "Silver Queen" perhaps?

Without shadow of a doubt it is a Euonymus fortunei type. Either Silver Queen or Emerald Gaiety.

Not edible, but it does propagate easily.

I'm with grownforyou on this one. It could easily be one of the two.

Here's a page showing both of them, at Evergreen Shrubs co in England:
Euonymus
