Poppy by the description on the leaf and the bulb there we call that Siersløk, or the other names is wild garlic, wild leeks, ramps. Take a tip of the leaf and smell, then taste it,,if it tastes or smells of garlic or onions, then you have one of my favorite wild foods. Great stuff. Do not eat the root bulb, but break the leaf off close and just chop up and eat in what ever you cook or put in salads. The flower ontop is also edible and has a much sweeter taste. Just do the taste test but not swollow. If it is garlic or onion flavor,,then you are good to go. Or take one of the flower buds, from the head and taste, wil have the same taste but like i said sweeter. I think you have found the my favorite edible plant.
How tall is this as Allium hyalinum is also a white drumstick as are some types of A. canadensis. Then of course there are white forms such as Mt Everest. All of these are over 2 feet tall whereas wild garlic is less.
Does your plant look like this, the leaves that is. you can see also where some of the flower is starting to just come out, not fully grown. That plant looks very small but the leaves are from finger tip to elbow long and the flower head when reached its max was over a meter or 3ft tall. That plant is the edible Siersløk or wild ramps. If you can post a pic of your plant that would help.
it is not my plant, i go for country walks No those leaves are far too broad, they are slim next time i go i will remember to always take 2 shots one of the flower and one of the leaves
