No idea what name it goes by, but around here I treat it as a weed and always pull it out.
But if it doesn't bother you, you may call it ornamental, and keep it.

Your wed is a perennial called yarrow. It will go to seed and be everywhere if you don't cut off the flowers when they are spent. So if you want to keep it for it's nice foliage, be diligent about the seeds or you'll be pulling it until the end of time. :( You can buy cultivars of it if you like it, also. It comes in a range of colors. white is the wild one, the others are in yellows, oranges, red and pinks. It can also be used as a cut or dried flower.

I removed this from the garden. I dont have the patience to remove weeds if they come back by numbers.
    Thanks all!

I guess I'm too late, but I agree with Yarrow. In my climate it grows well and is easy to control, and makes great cut flowers :)

It isn't invasive in my yard either, in fact I have a hard time keeping it alive and I want it.

Since I have 87.383% shade in my garden the one red Yarrow eeks out an existence and has no designs on world domination. I could use with an extra weed or two or ten.

Tina, we have it growing wild on our property. I do cut the flower stalks and hang them upside down to dry and us them in dry flower arrangements. There great for that.
