i will try and get some nice pics on here once i figure all that out but for now i need some ideas for a kitchen theme...
the main colors in my kitchen are pastel yellow, white trim with white cupboards.
the counter top is a lite tan/apricot color
i have a few "butterfly meadow" plates and cups on a
white and wood hutch but i also love the sunflowers i have sitting on a bakers rack that has a green metal like trim...so i'm not sure which way to go what colors to add as well as curtains...
i didn't know if the sunflower theme was just a summer thing or wildflowers would work..my walls are very lite lemon my kitchen has more of a cottage look to it if that helps..
any ideas thoughts greatly appreciated..
also i was thinking of adding a boarder someoehere as well.....

Hi Sunflower!
My sister-in-law had sunflowers in her kitchen and I loved them! You can always find birthday gifts for her because sunflowers are easy to find (not to mention a handpicked bouquet of the pretties) Very Happy
Oh, by the way...

Here's few pictures that might intrest you. Some of them are VERY cottage-styles but these are just to inspire you Very Happy With light lemon and yellows' you might want to try something to fresh it up. Like very light blue or lavender (lilac and yellow work well together as opponent colours). The boarder sounds ok but go easy on the pattern and put it into right height.

Oh, I like those kitchens, especially the last one. I painted my walls light yellow (Fairy Lily Yellow) and the trim is a caramel color. There isn't too much wall space but it made it brighter. Kitchens shouldn't be too dark. Dooley

Sunflowers have been a decorating theme for so long that you could probably pick up some accessories super-cheap. Other than that, I'd go for a variation of the last photo, using softer yellow and as was mentioned, a lilac-hued blue. And lots of white to keep it fresh. Rats, now I want to redo my kitchen again!
Hm, get a little crazy, drink to much espresso, and paint a wandering blackberry vine around the room with butterflies flitting among the berries?

I like the last two. I wish I had more cupboards, higher ceilings and enough room for a decent kitchen table. On the other hand, its's just more to clean. I'm happy to have what I do.

Thank you for all the great replys...from the pics it seems if i went lighter in my kitchen it would be better...i found my color its actually a light Daffodil.
I like the border in the cotage kithen ,that color is closest to my color.
I just have a few shelves that im not sure what color to paint the go like in a corner..or curtains for that matter...
