|
Your hypertufa mix is easily made into some faces.
Tape hanger to your board and put a ball of hypertufa on it and shape. Make round balls for eyes and roll up worms for eyebrows and lips. Stick marbles in the eyesockets. These can be as simple or complicated as you like. I make them in the warm weather and glass mine in the winter. Here's a few faves.
"Islander"
This one hangs in my bathroom.
"Ebony and Ivory"
This kitty's whiskers are galvanised wire put in the piece while it's wet. This beautiful glass looks like candy corn. (Yummm)
White glass gives you a skeleton look.
Some earthtones are nice outdoors.
This mirror glass is a killer when the sun hits it. These are good sized pieces. About 7-11 inches tall.
Make a face!

Booga booga! Wow, anyone wandering around your house and yard who are feeling they are being stared at might be onto something...
Very cool - I love what you do with the glass to give them so much personality.

I can't help thinking of the video for Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer" when I see these faces. I think they are just marvellous Bethie. You are just oozing "artistic"
My faves are Islander and Ebony & Ivory.
