Can anyone identify this cool moth?

    Chicago and Dupage
    Hi saw this moth at my parents house in DuPage county (Winfield to be exact). It was about 1.5 inches long and has the coolest moth pattern I have ever seen. Just wondering if its rare because my father and myself have never seen anything like it in 35+ years living in the area.

    Hi there Larva!! I can ID your moth for you. :-D It's a Giant Leopard Moth, Ecpantheria scribonia. Great photograph by the way!!

    That is one neat moth. The pattern is wonderful. It took God a long time to paint that one I bet.

    A wonderfull moth photo and I love his leopard pattern God had to take his time as the color is just perfect.
