Some of my butterflies

    the green luna moth is newly hatched. I was told that the black butterfly on my lilacs is the female Eastern Tiger Swallowtail? The others I do not know.

    Really lovely images.
    We've been seeing more butterflies this year that we've had for a long time. It's lovely to see them visiting the garden this year.

    These butterflies are from other years, and an older camera. I do need to try and get out and get some more butterfly pictures. thank you for the kind words.

    AAnightowl, those are beautiful pictures. We, too, have butterflies and my husband enjoys photographing them. It's difficult because the butterflies insist on fluttering, but he does succeed!

    I still have not gotten out taking pictures of more butterflies. I did see a few monarch caterpillars on my parsley a few days ago.

    Q. What butterfly or moth makes the woolly bear caterpillar? I saw one of those this week also.
