organic gardening items

Category: organic gardening items | Posted: Tue Jan 09, 2007 2:49 am

I have been experimenting with different all natural and organic gardening items since I had my first child. I think its really important to keep the use of chemicals around the house to a minimum. I have found that composting is a great way to make use of our kitchen scraps, makes a really rich soil and at the same time cuts down on our trash.

I do exactly what you do Allabout and I have three composting bins on the go at one time in the garden. One ready to use, one half way there and one to add scraps to.

I've been an organic gardener for over 25 years now and certainly wouldn't ever contemplate using chemicals of any kind.

Last summer Poyda gave us a recipe for a spray to get rid of the biting bugs....spiders, ants, etc.
Making it stinks up the kitchen something fierce but using it on the yard sure cut down on the number of itchy bites I had to endure and made my summer gardening a nice experience.

Hello allaboutorganic. I found you because your name caught my eye. You see I'm allaboutorganic too. I use that username as well. I have a couple of websites and blogs that may have some information you would be interested in. Email me and let me know if you're interested and I will send you links. I love to share the informaion I have regarding organics and in particular worm composting. If you compost and understand the value of compost then you must learn about worm composting. I look forward to hearing from you and anyone else who is interested in learning about worm composting. Wormnwomn
