Phenomenol Lavender not so Phenomenol

Category: Gardening | Posted: Tue Jan 12, 2016 2:32 pm

So, I purchased a new lavender called Phenomenol this past year that was supposed to be able to handle more humid environments like Florida. It did okay with the humidity, but couldn't handle the summer heat. Needless to say, it succumbed to Florida's renowned sunshine.

However, I am happy to report that I also purchased a lavender called Boysenberry Ruffles at the same time and it as been... well phenomenol in the garden. Now I have to see if it will get cold enough to encourage some blooms.

A secret dream of mine would be to have a lavender farm in Central Florida, but finding a plant that will fluorish is the main problem. I may never have the money or opportunity to really have a lavender farm, but it doesn't hurt to dream.

If we don't have dreams, we don't have anything.
I hope you get some blooms :)
