Got A Little Work Done

Category: Garden Novice | Posted: Thu Jun 26, 2008 5:44 pm

Since my doctor gave me the go ahead to do limited work, I decided to get out front yesterday and do a little pruning and cleaning up. I also cleaned up the porch and am very happy with how it all looks. it was a mess and I was itching to get out and do something. I wore my back brace and was really careful. I was a little sore last night but nothing serious. It was so good to get out in the sunshine and work. My next project is to sit on a stool and weed out one of my flower gardens.

Glad to hear you are following your doctors instructions and are doing easy work.

Going easy now means faster healing so that very soon you will toting loads of plants all over the yard.

Thanks, Toni. I miss getting out in the yard so much! I keep sending my hubby to the nursery for more plants and then trying to direct him how to plant them. I do have other hobbies that I've been doing but nothing beats getting out in the yard.

Happy to hear you are able to get out there and do what you enjoy Eileen :)

Thanks, Frank. I do love getting out in the early morning while it's still cool and the birds are singing. It's so calm and peaceful. It feels good, to feel good!

I'm really pleased to hear that the doctor has told you that you can do some light work Eileen. It's so much better when you can get outdoors yourself and tackle some of the jobs that need doing isn't it?

Happy that you're able to start doing the things we all love and getting your hands dirty. Take it by degrees though.

You're so sensible, and I admire you for it. Well done so far, enjoy what you can do and the rest will be done eventually.
