Been Thriftin' Yet Again

Category: Thrift Store Finds | Posted: Sun Jul 08, 2007 4:45 pm

Found this really cool wooden barrel. It is 12" tall x 10" diameter (31cmx26cm) Will probably seal it and plant in it of course.

A decorative beeskep made from grapevines.

A step stool that will be perfect for a couple of small potted plants to sit on...or for me to sit on when I need a rest.

Two teapots for making birdhouses similar to Zuzu's

Another teapot and a china watering 'can' that should make a cute birdhouse too.

My favourites are the stepping stool and that fabulous barrel. Oh, I know I keep saying this, but I wish we could pick up such great things over here!!!

I don't know which is more amusing, that people spend too much on stuff they never use, or that creative people like Toni snap it up cheap and do something really cool with it! And why on earth didn't that skep go into a garden the moment it was bought? strange.

Toni, you really have such a great eye for good items. I really love that step stool! I can already see it covered in plants! Look forward to seeing your bird houses....now I want to go thriftin'!

I am confessing....I am a thrifter, junker, salvation, consignment shop, flea market, antique, yard sale junkie. I love your finds! I love finding things for cheap. We are not cheap but frugal and artistic. Another persons junk is another persons treasure! Can't wait til the weekends, I get "quiet time" without my three year old. Can't take little fingers to places like that. Oh and I have a Honda Civic, you can only imagine what i have fit in there when I wanted it that bad!! I also call it spurjunking..lol
