Looks like I will only be getting one of the ladders afterall. The other lady forgot to put them out for us to pickup this afternoon and it is just too far to make another trip for them.

But the one I have is now the Bushy Tail Buffet
Dried corn on the cob on spikes on the ladder steps and where the old paint can holder used to be is a small green tray with sunflower seeds just for them. I painted it the same pale yellow as the fairy chair and put it in the middle of the Horseherb bed.

Looks great Toni and very appetising :) I never looked at a ladder in that way before. You have a very different perspective on everyday objects.

It's a pity about the other ladders but it happens.

Some of my family members call it my weirdness and just shake their heads.

The squirrels did find it this morning. There was one in the sunflower tray and one nibbling on corn when I went out to water but they ran off before I could get the camera out there.

Oh, the other two might just happen afterall. Last Sat we headed over to get them but Randy's truck developed a gasoline leak and the fumes sent us back home. I heard from the lady this morning and she forgot them yesterday so is going to bring them to me as soon as she gets a chance.

Hi Toni, I love the ladder idea but squirrels love to tear into attics and have their little ones and are worse that rats at cutting things up .Just ask jubabe.She had a squrril family move in with her.
Anyway I think it is a cute idea .

Oh, yeah, we had squirrels homesteading in our attic about 4 years ago. We would get a hole sealed up and they would eat out another one.
We rented a cage from the city animal control office and caught two.

It was a job, but we have everything sealed up so far this year. When we had a new roof put on we had a ridge vent installed then we could cover up the vents on each end of the house, that has helped keep them out more than anything.
