FRED in pictures from on high

Category: FRED - the garden | Posted: Sun May 28, 2006 5:07 pm

Randy got up on the roof this morning to take the pictures.
Cucumber trellis and the ever growing Rosemary bush

A meer six years ago this area was only the Fig tree and those rose bushes

I tried my best to stay out of camera range, but he got me anyway

My makeshift potting area next to the shed.

Just one of many as yet undone projects is to paint that shed.

This started out with the birdbath and an 18" tall dwarf hollyhock 5 years ago.

The Canna bed

I have a shed like that. You could paint it too. I wouldn't even mind a design on it. dooley

Gosh you've achieved so much in such a short time!! I'm glad I wasn't taking those piccies from the roof as I don't like heights but it's a great way of seeing a garden. I really like your canna bed - I have no luck with them for some reason. I like your seating area too it must be great to sit there and survey all that you've done. Keep the piccies coming as I'm really enjoying them.

Eileen, the seating area isn't used for sitting yet darn it.
We found that table frame on a trash pile the same day we bought the storage cabinet that I painted. It had a glass top that had been destroyed in a hail storm so the owner was throwing it away. It is Randy's project to make a top for it....so there it sits :(
One of those chairs was also a roadside find, it fell out of someones truck on the side of the highway and Randy brought it home. the other three I bought. They desperately need to be painted too.
Another one of those "someday" projects for Randy.

The long bench to the left of my potting area is where I sit with a cold can of chrysanthemum tea, enjoy the view, recap the work I just finished and plan for what needs to be done next.
