New Blooms

Category: New Yard | Posted: Sat May 24, 2008 2:24 pm

A few shot of lilies and morning glories in bloom this morning.
It's been so very HOT this last week. Most days reaching 98 degrees. My outdoor thermometer registered 102 on Monday afternoon!

The white cannas that I started from seed in February are just about ready to bloom! I can't wait for those.

Gorgeous! I've never seen a white Canna bloom - you must post pictures of the bloom when it opens. Your Morning Glory is pretty too, which one is it?

Oh the lily in your second photograph is my favourite!! I love the way you've got your morning glories growing from your planter - so attractive.

Netty, I think the morning glory is black knight? I can't remember for certain.

I will post the white cannas when they bloom. The photograph of the website I purchased the seeds from are beautiful. It is a dwarf species that grows about 18" tall.

Yes Frank....102! It was horrible!

Eileen that lily is called sterling. It is the only one with flecks so far. I just love it!

Thanks for the comments.

Very, very nice flowers, BG. I really enjoyed seeing them. The Ipomoea are quite richly coloured and look good against that wooden fence.

Your lilies are gorgeous, and the morning glory too! I adore specked lilies, they're so lively in a way. *lol* I adore all lilies actually.

Great pics. They are all gorgeous. I really like the planters box and trellis on the wood fence, it's neat.
