Solving watering problems
Category: Village Square | Posted: Sun Jun 08, 2008 7:14 pm Last year and the year before I carried dozens of gallons of water to my plants. This year I've improved my system. I have a garden on either side of my home and veggie plot in the back. My husband, Charlie installed a 2-hose fixture on the faucet to which I attached a soaker hose on one side,threaded through the border and regular hose on the other for rose garden and veggies. This is saving my back this year and getting water needs met. Yeah for Charlie. gardengater This blog entry has been viewed 119 times

Well done Charlie you've saved GG from a lot of work.
Those two hose splitters come in very handy. I have one on the front faucet for the soaker hose we use to water the house foundation and a hose for watering out front.
I don't think I've ever seen a hose splitter in the shops around here. I could do with one out back, actually. Thanks for the tip, wonder if I can find one.
Droopy;
I have one and for some reason I prefer to see what i'm watering.Yeah for Charlies help to you.
I love those hose splitters on the faucet that has enough pressure to use them, I keep one for watering and one for filling bunny bottles. I also attached a hose reel to the fence just at the place where the hose length ends, and keep an extra coil of hose there, extends the watering distance, I'm tooooo lazy to haul buckets, lol!
I'm too old to carry water too. The easier the work, the more I can enjoy my garden.
