New Addition

Category: Pets | Posted: Thu Feb 01, 2007 3:33 am

I was just thinking that we had not aqquired any new cats, which I quess I shouldn't have done. No sooner was the thought out, than the girl next door brings us a kitten. She found it in the middle of the highway, no houses around, caked with mud. She said she knew we would take care of it so she picked it up. Thanks Brit.
She is a tiny little solid black thing with a round face. Really cute, but aggravating as all get up. With the weather so bad I hate to leave her out, although she does go out during the day if it is not raining. She has decided I am her #1 human and sits on my shoulder while I am at the computer. I am hoping to find a good home for her, but cats are a disposable commodity around here so chances are slim. I really wish they would quit coming.

I have a feeling that you're going to end up with another pet of your own Sharon. Sounds as the the new kitten had adopted YOU.

Such a pity that people won't get their cats dressed so that the problem of unwanted kittens doesn't arise though.

You painted a pretty grim image of a little kitten in the middle of the highway Sharon. I pretty much wanted to adopt it after reading that. She's very fortunate to have stumbled across you and Richard. Thank you for being so kind to it.

One question: when are we going to see a pic? :)

Oooohhhhh, she sounds adorable.
Sometimes I think I would like to have a cat, always did want a black cat too.

But then Randy reminds me that cats are like string....every yo-yo wants one. :(

Tut-tut, never you mind, Sharon,
a good home has already been found for her,
. . . by her . . . and *tag* you're it.
Just get her settled in . . . quick,
before the next one shows up.

*LOL* @ Toni and Randy,
sounds like Randy took the same correspondence course in philosophy as my hubby.

I know everyone, I guess she is ours.

Eileen, you don't want to get me on that soapbox about not altering your pets. We have seen horrors resulting because of people not doing this. Enough said.

Frank, yes, pretty grim pic, I won't tell you what happen to the last little black kitten we found in the middle of the road. At least the neighbor girl was able to save this one.

Around here there have been cases of puppies in dumpsters lately. I get so stinking mad. These are people that probably have or will go on to have children. Frightening.
Thank heavens you and Richard are such a caring pair. That is one lucky little cat.
