As a house plant can be trained to braided trunks, and kept small (with repeated/frequent pruning) or allowed to grow into a tree. Easily manipulated. Doesn't like drafts and will shed leaves, but recovers with patience.

very susceptible to scale insect. They can be removed if infestation is not large, but may need a systemic pesticide treatment.
