Add Your Opinion About This Plant Netty (13946) wrote on Sep 06 2008 Chokecherry grows prolifically from suckers and sprouting stumps as well as from seeds from the berries. Birds eat and disperse Chokecherries. I like this opinion Pianolady (652) wrote on May 31 2011 Rating for this plant: While this is a beautiful tree, it does tend to be disease-prone, especially black knot.
