Add Your Opinion About This Plant toni (36069) wrote on May 28 2008 Crape Myrtle flower buds are not poisonous, in case your child should decide to snack on them. This according to the Poison Control operator I called in a panic several years ago. I like this opinion 3 people like this opinion tonya (47) wrote on Jun 17 2010 Rating for this plant: a favorite in virginia is "Catawba" it can be grown as a speciman plant or allowed to grow larger, lovely dark lavender blooms from june until september I like this opinion Mrs. Galeassi (25) wrote on May 09 2012 I have one like that but he's a baby. aprox 2 years....
