I thought it was a gladioli but after it bloomed, it looks very different than the gladioli I have. Any ID on this beautiful flower?

Can you get a clear photo of the flower, that may be too blurry to ID it unless another member is growing the same plant. ;)

I'd still vote for a gladiolus. (Gladioli = plural).

Some look "different" especially the species, which are not that big and showy as the blooms we have on the bulbs we buy.

Here's another pic. It looks different and smaller than the other gladioli I have - but the plant looks similar. Love the color though.

The Gladiolus Genus contains over 200 species, the ones we are more familiar with in gardens are so common and readily available that we don't get to see the other species very often, it at all.
Check out the Gladiolus byzantinus photos to see if they look like yours.

It may just be a less mature corm. Is this flower the same color as the others? I wasn't sure if that's the difference or not.

    Thanks Toni.
So this is definitely a Gladiolus.

Could also be Gladiolus flanaganii, which is very similar to that one.
