just to get y'all in the mood, here's Santa Kizzie: She got kinda tired of the photo shoot, so we had to quit. Kizzie came running up the road one morning, stopped between my driveways, sniffed the air and ran straight up the drive into my arms. Here is a picture of what she really looks like, taken when she was younger: She is bobbed tailed and has beautiful markings.
What an adorable Santa Kizzy. She knows how a kitty loving person smells so in your arms she went. She soves being with you.
Great pictures that really made me smile. I wonder where your little Kizzy came from and why she was all alone? I'm so glad she found you though 'cause now she has a loving home for life. :-D
Thanks everyone. Eileen, I figure she was either dropped off, or was part of a feral litter and she got separated from them.
The markings on your Kizzie are quite attractive. At first I thought that it was a Manx, but then I noted that the ears were not smaller than a regular Cyper nor were the back legs longer. I have seen in Indonesia that the people there frequently cut or break-off the tail of cats. I made some inquiries and was told that meany people there believe that cats can enchant/hypnotize people by switching their tails. So they remove them to take the power away. The pity is that they then have very poor balance. Anyway. I like the looks of your cat. It is is quite photogenic.
Thanks Netty, actually that was the first time we ever dressed her up. Sjoerd, her back legs are longer than her front, but she is not pure bred manx. There's no way tell if she lost the tail when she was very tiny due to an accident or disease, or if it's natural. As far as her balance, it's great, as is Bobbert's, my other tailles cat. They both have excellent balance and love to climb trees. I wonder if that's a myth about tailless cats. Here's Bobbert:
Awwww, she is cute! My cat has her nose out of joint tonight My husband took her to the vet today for her vaccinations and worm medicine. Needless to say she is mad at her dad :-o
Thanks Strats, she is a cutie. Our cats do the same for the vet or medicine, they stay mad for a while.
