Hot from the oven. Yummy and very easy. No kneading.

Amish Cinnamon Bread 350* 45-50 minutes

    Cream together
    1 cup butter softened
    2 cups sugar
    2 eggs
    4 cups flour
2 cups buttermilk or 2 cups milk with
2 TBSN. vinegar or lemon juice.
    2 teaspoons baking soda.

Mix 2/3 cup sugar with 2 teaspoons cinnamon (set aside)

Put 1/2 batter (or less ) into 2 greased loaf pans.
Sprinkle 3/4 of cinnamon mixture on to top of the 1/2 batter in each pan. Add remaining batter; sprinkle with last of cinnamon mix. Swirl with a knife.

Let cool for 20 minutes before removing from pans.
If you can wait that long. It smell so good. Going to add raisins next time.

Donna, I'm heading for the kitchen now! It's a dank and drizzly day so no outside work, but making Cinnamon bread sounds like an indoor activity to keep me out of trouble.
    Thank you for the recipe!

Drool, drool,…. I have to stop licking my computer screen. It's definitely not as tasty.

I have squirreled away this recipe to celebrate with when I get off my diet. I filed it under delicious.

    Thank you Donna, :)

Going to have to try this. This old retired Baker can't resist a new recipe.
Be making it in the morning, let you know how I make out.

Made it today! Can`t eat a whole slice but I did taste it. Its excellent! I used a knife in a cris cross pattern to swirl the cinnamon sugar and when done it was almost like pull apart bread. Very tender and delicious bread. Permanently in my recipe book. Thanks Donna!
