Austin has learned to open the screen door by himself... he likes to run out and smell the herbs in pots outside the kitchen door. I brought in some catnip and here he is enjoying it on the rug by the door.

Austin says thank you for the compliments. Funny comment Deanna! I imagine we all get that look sometimes. GN, (glad to see you around!) I have some catnip planted in a pot. It's not blooming like yours yet. I keep picking it to make it bushy so maybe that is why. I just bring in fresh pieces for the girl and boy and they both like it but I'm sure they'd like it dried too.

    Heh, heh, heh :-D

Austin sure looks like he is having fun! Beautiful cat, Daisybeans.

I grew some catnip in the gardens a while back and I had ever cat in the neighbourhood eating it. Poor plant. It would be eaten down to a nub, then try and grow more leaves only to be eaten again.

Oh well. At least all those cats had a good time.

Ha! I would have loved to see that CC. The other day it looked like someone had taken a snooze on part of the plant -- now that you mentioned it, I'll bet it was another cat!

What a handsome boy. I also planted some catnip, which didn't last very long, as my cat rolled around the plants in such a frenzied state of ecstasy that they didn't last that long.LOL [not sure how to paste in Smilies yet]

Austin is a good boy too (sort of... :-| ) and he enjoys being a star. I think he'd love mama more if I would let him outside unattended but he doesn't follow directions... Netty does your kitty like dried catnip? Victoriana -- to me, Austin and William look a little similar based on William's picture.

That is so great...I didn't realize that they could eat it when it was fresh or do they just nibble on it? Our Birdie loves the little mouse we have for her filled with it but that came dried.

I heard a story from a lady where I bought my pet license for Birdie that she planted some catnip outside her door and the neighbors cats came over and the next thing she noticed was that it was gone...would the cats pull out a freshly planted bunch of catnip? I guess I won't plant any because I do not want the neighbors cats using my flower beds as liter boxes..

    Sherry
