The Cardinals, House finches and white crowned sparrows are busy in the garden ...I put out the small bird baths and the birds all seem to enjoy them... May 11, 2016 057 (2).jpg

So glad to see that your birds are enjoying the water you provide for them Sherry. Our birds are enjoying the pond we have. It has shallow edges so that they can drink and bathe. They're also using the moss on the stones around it for nest building.

    Beautiful birds, Sherry.
I so enjoy seeing the birds that you post. they are like little works of art.
I find the female cardinal stunning and her coiffure, like totally modern.

I like to see photos like yours. Obviously your garden birds get the best care. I hope they reward you by keeping the insect population down.

Thank you eileen, Sjoerd, Frank and Droopy...
Droopy...the only insect I have problems with at times are aphids, they must not be on the birds menu. They never leave the swamp weed which I have for the monarch caterpillars alone...and I end up getting rid of all of it.
Frank...it is funny to watch the birds in the small bird baths. They will fly all the way to the patio for a drink and pass a larger bird bath and then fly back into the pergola feeding area.

It's fun to see your bird photo's. The house sparrow is the only one in your pictures that we have around here and they are always at our feeder!
