I want to plant a small block of sweet corn about 6' X 10'.
The last time I planted corn the chipmunks ate the end of every ear.
Is there any way I can keep them out? I thought about caging the garden in chicken wire but I was told they could get through that.I think smaller gage hardware cloth would be pretty expensive for a cage that is 6'wide, 10'long and 5' tall.

Can anybody suggest another way that is inexpensive? I don't want an outdoor cat because they kill birds too.
