I just bought a cute little miniature rose; the label did not tell me the cultivar, only that it was a Parade rose. It has dark red flowers and darker buds. The flowers resemble small hybrid tea blooms. The undersides of the leaves have red edges. Photo coming soon.
The most popular miniature roses supplied to large chain stores and garden centres are hybrids bred by Poulson Roses in Germany. Three varieties are the most commonly in supply. They are Rich, Elegent and Paradise so maybe yours is one of them?? I think Rich is one that resembles a small peony rose but I'm not sure what colours it comes in.
This (unlike some plants I've purchased) was labeled, though not very descriptively, and I believe it declared itself to be a Parade. Something I found on their website, 'Serena,' ('Serena Parade?') looks like what I have, but they don't have a picture of the whole plant, so I'm not sure.
I couldn't find a 'Serena Parade' miniature rose either. There are around a dozen types of mini parades though and I'm sure they are all beautiful - maybe you could start a collection of all the different varieties. :-D
