I can never seem to get enough colour, enough petals, enough vibrancy so I invariably tend to take photos of flowers. Doesn't matter where I am I'm snapping flowers and while I've grown some real stunners myself I still love all the exotics when I'm away on hols.

These are some of my own pics of some of the flowers I just marvel at. They're in the category - "if I could I would" (grow them myself).

You will recognize a certain "Aloha" feel too :) What are the 'exotics' you love? Pics wanted and welcomed :) :) :)

Beautiful, gorgeous flowers! I don't have any pictures of exotics myself but I do enjoy seeing them.

Isandlife those are all beauties as well,..amazing the beauty of plants that are classed as exotic and grown further away in more tropical areas.

That bloom you asked about,..is a Lantana Shrub,..also called Verbena's,..aromatic as well,..picture was taken in Majorca,..that is it in a bigger view.

    A few more from Majorca.

Convenient for holidays as its only about an hours flight,..same for Spain so i tend to head off each year though mostly when its raining in Ireland,..then i need not worry about watering plants lol.

    Majorca.

@Philip Nulty - Looks absolutely lovely and getting there in a short 1 hour flight would definitely make it my 'go to' place ;) :) From where I'm at it takes easy 4 hours + on a non-stop flight to get to warm sunny spots.

Islandlife,..oops i gave you the time from Dublin,..Ireland to Paris which is 1 hour 35mins,..i have a very long list of flight times and glanced at the wrong one,..Dublin to Majorca is 2hrs and 30mins,..Spain is just under 3hrs,..going on holiday i always end up looking at plants and gardens or taking a boat trip,..exactly what i am doing at home lol.

Trips to America really opened my eyes at the size of it,..taking a flight from Indiana to Utah gobsmacked me,..and the time zones holy moley.

@Philip Nulty - yeah time zones are a pain. I'm on the extreme of the west coast on an Island so anytime I move meself I have to factor in getting OFF the Island. I can opt to fly but that means leaving from a little airport way out of town to the International Airport. Here though it is about 4 to 5 hours give or take to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico or Hawaii. If you're going further than that it makes sense to stop in Texas and then onto your destination from there.

Gosh that would nearly put a person off going away on holiday,..you think to yourself a break away would be nice and decide to head off,.. then sit down and realize there is so much in between leaving and getting to your destination.

Some more blooms from far away,..still not as nice as yours,..also a village in Spain where every house in the narrow streets had plants outside.
