Help identifying a bird,,

    Need help finding a bird I can`t ID. I think its a sparrow or from that or a similar family. All over dark brown with lighter streaks running length of belly, looks like some streaks on head ands lighter edges on wings. Larger than our other sparrows and darker but built the same. Just looks like a larger sparrow but colored differently. Eats with the sparrows here but seems to be only one of them.

    I spent a lot of yesterday trying to ID the ones we have in our front yard and found this photo. The Sibley Guides call it a 'morph' of the White-throated Sparrow with white stripes.
    Is that your bird?

    No, it is different. From a distance this one looks just dark brown,,darker than all the normal sparrows. Looking closer you can barely see the lighter streaks. Head is almost solid but a few streaks on sides and only a bit lighter than the main body. Its about the same size body wise as a cardinal.
