I ordered Arabella, Juuli, and Pagoda. The first two are shorter and I'll plant those by two large stumps and the other is a tall one that I'll plant on my arbor. I've got to transplant the one that is on my arbor now but I am excited

Many folks don't understand the excitement of getting new plants and seeing them grow. You're definitely a gardener 2ofus. :stew2:

Oh, wow--I'm excited for you! Pictures of them in bloom would be nice. Actually, pictures of your new clematises not in bloom would be nice!

As I just ordered them, I don't have any photo's. I did find some on-line but I'm not sure what the rules are for posting someone else's photos.

I love clematis. They give height to a garden. There are also some bush clematis that I am interested in. My problem is that my property has been hit by clematis wilt. And there doesn't seem to be a treatment for it, other than cleaning up the dead leaves & providing good growing conditions. Anyone else have clematis wilt? Anyone else grow bush-type clems?

I had clematis wilt hit one of my vines several years ago. I researched on-line for information but, since I've slept quite a few times since then, all I can remember is cutting it back to 6 inches above the ground and that I was lucky as it came back the next year. I'm sorry I can't help much.

Thanks 2. I cut two affected clems back, one lived the other died. I have tried planting a bush type twice now only to see it succumb. I think I need to ? let the pathogen die out in my yard? before trying new plants? That's my thought anyway. BUT, good luck with yours! I bet they will be beautiful.
