This is the third year that I put out a Nest Box Festival page. I hope to have many people putting up nest boxes for the birds. If you have any birds nesting in your nest box or plan on putting one up, send me a picture for next years page. Thank you.

Ian has been putting up nest boxes (money donated by BT) around the village for our primary school. Let's just hope that some of them get used this year and that the children get chance to watch the parents going in and out to feed their young. Most of the hair that I've put out has already been taken by some of the bluetits and great tits.

What are your thoughts on the nest box that you can hang from a window outside? The one where you can see inside.

I would be surprised if any bird used them unless the window was on a shed or somewhere were it wasn't used much.

Haha! That is exactly what I thought about them when I saw them on tv. I was surprised someone would be able to sell them and make some money. I would think the birds would be scared, but they can see into the house.
