Is a promise ring just like an engagement ring Ronni? Sorry if I'm being ignorant but I've never heard of a promise ring before. I'm just assuming that it's the same type of ring as you're wearing it on THAT finger. No matter what though it's absolutely gorgeous. Ed really is the man for you and I'm so glad you're together.
Thanks Eileen. He's a sweet man and I consider myself very lucky to have found such a wonderful relationship, such a good fit and connection..at my age. Regarding Promise rings....they're typically given as a symbol of commitment or devotion between couples. Think of them as a token of love, much like the days when high school boys would give their girlfriends their class rings. It shows that you are exclusively dating, and it’s a way to express and show your commitment to each other.....a step up from being just boyfriend and girlfriend, but not yet formally engaged. It's more of a thing between young people...a millennial thing I think. Still I love the symbolism and what it represents, and am touched by the gift.

A gesture like that makes you go weak at the knees knowing you're really and deeply loved by the man in your life.
