    Rather strange one that was in the garden. Thick-headed Fly Physocephala sp.

    That is an odd looking fly. I would have guessed it as a small wasp, or dirt dauber, by it's shape. Great photo also.

    Cute,..looks like chocolate or toffee,..at least not a revolting one like most flies up close :)
