Well done Buddy. Beautiful photo! I love these flowers Daniel. Thank you for sharing them - they are so lovely. I've never had an amaryllis, and I ponder every year over the handful of boxes that show up at our little grocery. By the time I'm done pondering they have vanished. Yours has inspired me to make a point of getting one next year. :)

Congrats Daniel. I feel the same way, which is why I have Christmas cacti. Now I noticed the other day that African violets are out. I'm very tempted. They remind me of my g'ma. She had them all along her big kitchen window. I need to figure out how to put a higher shelf in that bird/plant cage. I could put one on it, if I can get a shelf.

Somehow I always kill African Violets, I just can't get them right.

Too much water on those violets, Daniel?

My thought is they are sold growing in a medium that dries out too fast. I wonder if I buy one and immediately repot it in a better medium, would they do better. That worked for the Poinsettia. I really dont know.

My grandma always watered from the bottom, as well. And they were all in McCoy pottery pots.

We too, Willow. I never want to take any chance at all with water droplets getting on those leaves…and the soil must never be waterlogged. The roots just cannot stand it.
